Works extremely hard and is defensively aware. Shows strong leadership qualities, the ability to work the corners of the ice and lay on big hits. Can line up on either side of center.
Flaws:
Has become incredibly injury-prone. Tends to pass up too many shots in order to dish off to linemates. Could use more bulk to withstand the rigors of the NHL game. Isn't a natural scorer.
